The day has come
To climb the mountain our forefathers walked barefoot,
a mountain sharper than thought,
pierced with disasters, failures, and unspoken pain.
Yet they carried the torch of change,
Chanting: “Failure is not an option.”
They bore sacrifices never meant to be borne,
fought battles never meant to be fought
all to carve a path for us.
Children of Africa, arise!
Wear the armor of Sundiata Keita,
strategize like Cetshwayo Kampande,
wield the sword of Mansa Musa,
be fearless as Shaka Zulu,
and take the unyielding mind of Queen Nzinga.
Let us declare:
The word “Impossible” is only possible in disguise.
Tell the world: this “Dark Continent” now holds a light bulb,
bright enough to guide its own path.
Remember, “Memento Mori” - death awaits,
Yet life demands courage before the candle burns out.
Stand on the battlefield, Children of Africa!
Make the sacrifice unsacrificed,
carry the motto: “Country before self.”
Double their footsteps, embrace their legacy,
so that even in their graves,
Our forefathers may rise in celebration.
